Usher, Robin Thicke, Tevin Campbell Cover “Secret Garden”

Usher Robin Thicke Tevin Campbell Secret Garden

Secret Garden” is a very known classic collaboration between James Ingram, Al B. Sure, El DeBarge, and Barry White. A remake of the song will appear on Quincy Jones’ “Q: Soul Bossa Nostra”. Usher, Robin Thicke, and Tevin Campbell cover the song this time. Many would say that just like “We Are The World”, the song should have never been retouched. This may be true, but it’s nice to hear this kind of music again, actual singing and lyrics. Listen to both versions below and decide what you prefer. The new version was produced by Jermaine Dupri.

New Usher Video - OMG

Usher OMG

Usher has released the video “OMG” for his first international single from his new album “Rayond v. Raymond”. The video was directed by Anthony Mandler and features will.i.am.

“The video is a spectacle,” Mandler told Rap-Up.com. “It really emphasizes what we love about Usher and the character and the icon that he is, and most importantly, it’s really a video that showcases his superstardom.”

Usher is also currently promoting his new album “Raymond v. Raymond”, and revealed this morning on Good Morning America that he will be going on tour soon.

Usher feat. Nicki Minaj – Lil Freak Preview

Usher Nicki Minaj Lil Freak

Usher has just released a sneak preview of his new music video “Lil Freak”, featuring Nicki Minaj and a cameo of Ciara.

“The video is freaky. And it's a great concept, a great story line.” “It felt just like one of the sequels to 'Saw'. It was dope.” says Nicki while speaking to MTV. TAJ directed the video in Los Angeles, and gave his take on redefining the word “Freak”. “My general idea was to take the word and show its many faceted sides. Twisting and turning it to where there’s really no distinguishing between one freak and another.”

Lil Freak” is one of the singles included on Usher’s new album “Raymond vs. Raymond”, due to be released on March 30th.

Usher’s New Official Artwork for “Raymond V Raymond”

Usher Raymond V Raymond Official Cover
Usher has revealed the official artwork for the cover of his upcoming new album “Raymond V Raymond” due to be released March 30th on his website. The album will be his first since 2008’s “Here I Stand”, got off to a pretty bad start. The original first single “Papers” drove some initial buzz but failed to live up to Usher’s past singles. In addition, lots of other songs from the album began leaking on the internet.

Numerous release dates for the release of “Raymond V Raymond” were announced but it seems that March 30th will be the official date.

Usher’s team is currently advertising “Raymond V Raymond” with his new single “Hey Daddy (Daddy’s Home")” and the video for the track, along with the new official artwork of the album.

Usher’s Raymond v Raymond Leaked

Usher Raymond v Raymond
Usher’s upcoming album “Raymond v Raymond” was supposed to drop in December, but it was decided that instead it would be released in February 2010.

“We believe that the album is so strong that we want to give it the opportunity to have the proper set-up before coming out,” a spokesperson said at the time.

Unfortunately for Usher, it was leaked over the internet last week. 50 Cent suffered the same fate with his latest album “Before I Self Destruct” when it leaked a month before its release.

This does make the life of marketers a lot more difficult, considering that their marketing efforts will be in vain. Let’s see how Usher’s new album will perform on its first release week.
