We Want Miles Montreal Exhibition

Miles Davis Montreal Exhibition

The Montreal Museum of Fine Arts is paying tribute to the late Miles Davis with an exhibition which will showcase how he was one of the greatest musicians of the last century.

The multimedia retrospective will recall the highlights of his career, and his amazing Montreal concerts. These are truly memorable concerts, which should never be forgotten. Miles once said that he "changed the course of music history five or six times."

The scenography will be entirely designed around his music and the visitor’s listening comfort. It will include recordings of the most iconic pieces by this legendary figure, who still arouses passionate admiration and whose influence goes far beyond the boundaries of jazz. This initial venture into the realm of jazz continues the Museum’s exploration of links between the visual arts and music launched with Warhol Live and Imagine.
Miles Davis was undeniably a musical genius, don’t miss out on this incredible exhibition which will be available from April 30th to August 29th.

Bret Michaels – Still in Intensive Care Unit

Bret Michaels

Bret Michaels suffered a major brain hemorrhage last Thursday, and still remains in the intensive care unit since then. He is reportedly under 24-hour surveillance, until further tests this week will help locate the source of the bleeding.

"After several CAT scans, MRIs and an angiogram, [doctors] decided to keep Michaels in the ICU and are running several tests to determine the cause [of the hemorrhage]," a source told People magazine, in a report that Michaels' rep said was accurate. "[It] will be touch and go for the next few days while he is under intense observation."

Since then many celebrities have sent messages to Bret wishing him a speedy recovery. Here are some of the words left by his co-stars of “Celebrity Apprentice”.

Cindy Lauper: "I am hoping for a speedy recovery". "He is a strong-willed person, so I am feeling very positive that he will pull through like a champion. My thoughts are with his family."

Curtis Stone: "He's a nice man, and I've got great wishes for him".

Maria Kanellis: "All you can do is hope and pray for him and his family," she said. "He's a strong man, so I hope he recovers very quickly."

Donald Trump told TMZ that Bret is in "big, big trouble and the prognosis is not great."

"He turns out to be an amazing competitor, and ultimately, that is the thing that could save his life," Trump said.

Bret was set to release a new album later this year, let’s all wish him well and a speedy recovery.

Mariah Carey – Working on Christmas Album

Mariah Carey Christmas Album

Mariah Carey is planning to release a new Christmas album. According to reports, she is currently shooting the cover of this album with world renowned fashion photographer David LaChapelle. It’s not the first time they’ve worked together, in 1999 LaChapelle shot Mariah’s cover album of “Rainbow” and directed her video of “Loverboy”.

In a recent interview with LaChapelle in the U.K.'s The Times, the photographer explained that the Christmas album will feature a graffiti skyline backdrop replete with fake snow, a "hideous" silver tree and wooden reindeer. "Mariah wanted real ones," LaChapelle said. "Flown from Nebraska. Can you imagine, real reindeer?"

Mariah Carey has been seen working with Jermaine Dupri in the studio, after cancelling her “Angel’s Advocate Remix” album.

New Lupe Fiasco ft. Alicia Keys – Love Letter To The Beat

Lupe Fiasco and Alicia Keys have collaborated on a new song titled “Love Letter to the Beat”, and the result is amazing! It sounds like there are some beats from the 70s in the song, something which would definitely be great to hear more of in other songs. The vibe of the song is very catchy, and instantly makes you want to get up and dance.

The track will most likely be on Lupe Fiasco’s next album “Lasers”, which doesn’t have any official release date yet. "It's one of the sadder parts of being on a major record label," Fiasco told a radio station in Australia. "At a certain point it's out of your hands. About a date for Lasers, it's truly on them. I have no idea what they're going to do."

Looks like once again, a record label is holding too much power over their artist. It must be frustrating at times for artists who can’t be independent. On the other hand, they can also put them on the map, when they’re struggling to make it in the music business.

"Ride" is the first single from Ciara's soon-to-be-released fourth studio album “Basic Instinct” which will be released later this year. The song comes from the production hands of duo top-notch music makers Christopher "Tricky" Stewart and The-Dream.

Prior to the "Ride" video which is directed by Diane Martel, Ciara has debuted a viral clip for a buzz song called “Basic Instinct (U Got Me)” and shared screen with The-Dream. Other than the two videos, she reportedly has also filmed visuals for another track called "You Got Me" in Atlanta.
